The departure and finish lines are at the Marina di Ragusa seafront, and participants can choose between two routes depending on their individual abilities and aspirations.

The first leg of the race is gentle, but one shouldn’t underestimate the ups and downs that lead to Scicli. Here, among cobbled streets and decorated squares, the first refreshment point will meet the group on Via Mormino Penna.

At this point, the shorter route will bring cyclists back to Marina along the coast.

For those participants who instead decide to continue on the second route, the climbing leg that leads to Ragusa Ibla will be a true challenge. This winding road offers breathtaking views of wheat fields and dry stone walls beneath the warm Sicilian sun.

Upon arriving in Ibla, participants will be welcomed by the children from the “Autonomy Group” of the non-profit organization Cosi Come Sei, who will have local refreshments prepared for them.

The third leg of the race takes the challengers away from the magnificent sights of San Giorgio’s Cathedral, up to the top of Ragusa’s hill, where the road will finally begin to be gentle again on the way down to Donnafugata. This is a lovely ride where the countryside can be enjoyed the most and culminates with Donnafugata Castle appearing in the distance—a noble residence that dominates the view and that marks the endpoint of this leg.

The fourth leg will see the group heading toward Punta Secca, a seaside village made famous by the house of Andrea Camilleri’s Inspector Montalbano.

The fifth and final leg of the race will circle back, bringing participants to Marina di Ragusa in time for the finaly part, awards ceremony and, why not, a well-deserved dip in the sea.
